    The Tianmu Lake Forum, as the only technology exchange forum in China aimed at production management and process innovation of feed enterprises, has been successfully held for 4 sessions and gradually recognized by industry insiders.     Over the course of five years of accumulation and five years of knowledge, the Tianmu Lake Forum has gone from being inexperienced to mature, from being a newcomer to having a significant impact. With the support of people from all walks of life, the first four Tianmu Lake forums have achieved rich results. On December 19, 2016, the 5th Tianmu Lake Forum, hosted by Zhengchang Group, grandly opened at Tianmu Lake Hotel in Liyang, Jiangsu. The forum focused on the hot topics of industry development, exploring opportunities for the development of feed enterprises, and exploring an innovative breakthrough and sustainable development path.

    Mr. Yan Jiangang, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Feed Industry Office and Deputy Secretary General of the Association, first delivered an opening speech to the forum. In the past two years, under the adjustment of supply side structural reform, environmental governance efforts have been increased, and the breeding structure of 10 provinces and cities in the Southern Water Network has undergone significant adjustments. In 2016, the total amount of feed in the province was 10.3 million tons, and the feed production in the first three quarters was 8.56 million tons, an increase of 3% and 8% compared to last year, ending the trend of double-digit growth in the past five years. The feed industry and breeding industry have entered a stage of stable development; The 13th Five Year Plan regards the development of safe, efficient and environmentally friendly feed and the improvement of production and processing levels as the two main tasks of the industry. How to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises is a new topic for industry development. This year's Tianmu Lake Forum, with the theme of "four intelligences", proposed insights into process innovation and management, accelerated the promotion of intelligence level, reduced costs, and created a new pattern of industry development, reflecting the characteristics of innovation and the requirements of keeping up with the times. The forum discussed hot topics such as the development trend of feed enterprises, processing innovation, enterprise efficiency management, and intelligent management, and gathered industry experts to share valuable experiences, jointly promoting the healthy development of the feed industry.

"Intelligence gathering" refers to the wisdom of industry experts, scholars, feed enterprises, feed machinery enterprises, and technical talents gathered at the Tianmu Lake Forum, contributing wisdom and insights to the development of China's feed industry enterprises; "Zhijian" refers to the Tianmu Lake Forum, as a platform for industry technology exchange, willing to provide opportunities and platforms for professionals to interact, exchange, and seek common development with a mindset of embracing all directions. We welcome them to publish highly operational production, management, and process innovation solutions; "Smart transformation" refers to how feed enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, can break through, improve production capacity, reduce energy consumption, optimize configuration, ensure feed quality, and achieve high efficiency in the current trend of intensive, large-scale, and intelligent industry development; "Intelligence" refers to the use of intelligent and automated equipment to help enterprises improve efficiency and reduce operating costs as labor costs increase; This forum adopts four stages: interaction, focus, reciprocity, and influence, sharing experiences, brainstorming, and benefiting everyone.

    In addition, this forum also invited Wu Xinming, the Production Director of Guangdong Wenshi Group, who has won the "New Feed Generation" fund three times, to give a speech. Mr. Wu said that through the learning and exchange of previous forums, as daily training materials for Wenshi's various feed factories, he is very grateful to Zhengchang Group for building an exchange platform for colleagues engaged in feed production technology in the industry.

    Mr. Yao Minpu, Senior Vice Chairman of Zhengda Group, first gave a keynote report titled "How can we see a rainbow without experiencing wind and rain?" He analyzed the development trends of China's agriculture and animal husbandry industry in the next decade, expressed unique insights, and proposed insightful measures to address the development trends of slow growth in output, large-scale production, reduced number of enterprises, and the entry of feed enterprises into the era of meager profits in the future. He also introduced the modern development strategy model of agriculture and animal husbandry industry and the development model of creating a century old agriculture and animal husbandry enterprise.

    The title of the report by Dr. Zhu Jinqian and President of Kangdi Feed (China) Group is "Efficiency determines success or failure", which points out the development direction of the future breeding market from the aspects of breeding efficiency and nutrition. In response to the current situation where feed processing technology has become mature, the construction of Wuhan Kangdi and Tianjin Kangdi can achieve food grade requirements for Kangdi's feed through the unique national invention patent of Zhengchang - Shuhua Technology.

    The theme of the report by Mr. Cao Kang, the editor in chief of modern feed engineering, is "Innovation in Process Planning and Engineering Design of Feed Factories". It analyzes that in the current situation of feed scaling, standardization, internationalization and refinement, as well as contract manufacturing, feed enterprises should innovate and develop in equipment scaling, equipment functionality, raw material bulk, loading and unloading mechanization, operation automation, process control visualization, safety production standardization, feed production safety, finished product shipping bulk, and comprehensive management expertise.

    Engineer Lv Jianlong, Director of the Zhengchang Complete Engineering Technology Institute, shared the "Exploration of Process Technology for Making Good Dairy Pig Feed and Enhancing Competitiveness". As a pioneer of the "Shuhua Process Technology" revolution, Zhengchang has conducted six years and dozens of research, experiments, and improvements to provide the best process and equipment for pig feed production enterprises to improve efficiency and competitiveness. Based on its own practical experience, it has elaborated on the case of several typical ordinary livestock and poultry lines being able to produce Shuhua process pig feed with minimal investment through technological transformation. At present, the Zhengchang Shuhua piglet feeding technology has been maturely applied to feed enterprises such as Dongtai COFCO, Pengshan New Hope, Wuhan Kangdi, Shandong Laibeite, and Shenzhen Jinxinnong.

    Wu Xinming, equipment engineer of Guangdong Wenshi Food Group Co., Ltd., analyzed and explained the key points of feed pellet quality control, and shared Wenshi's experience in production technology with everyone.

1. At present, there are phenomena in pellet feed, such as excessive powder content, uneven length and thickness, high moisture content, high feed temperature, grading, inadequate calcium and phosphorus standards, low granulation efficiency, unstable yield, and waste leading to unstable feed ratio;

2. The reasons that affect particle quality include: raw material characteristics (40%), crushing particle size (10%), modulation (20%), ring mold (20%), cooling and screening (5-10%);

3. Mr. Wu shared with everyone Wen's experience in dealing with these factors, such as adjusting the blade angle of the modulator, controlling the temperature, time, and moisture content of the modulation, using the three knives for granulation, and the application of the rotary distributor.

    Dr. Cheng Zongjia, Chief Scientist of the Belgian Green Series Group, shared with us the "Processing Technology for Achieving High Quality European and American Feed Formulas" based on his long-term experience in pig feed formulation and nutrition. He analyzed the characteristics and differences of formulas in the United States and Europe, as well as the benefits of using softening technology in the clinker production process. He also set the production process parameters for pig feed at different stages.

Jiang Suhua, Zhengchang Electric Control and Grain Machinery Research Engineer

    Jiangsu Hua, a research engineer from Zhengchang Electric Control and Grain Machinery, explained the trend of intelligent and information-based development in feed factories. Firstly, the development of the industrial revolution from 3.0 to 4.0 requires the spirit of craftsmanship. To achieve intelligence in feed factories, it is necessary to rely on information-based network services, and in addition, expert systems are needed to support it. Zhengchang will continue to focus on building a harvest production line for happiness, and propose technological implementation processes from intelligent new technologies and other aspects.

    Professor Zhu Shuping from the School of Engineering of Huazhong Agricultural University shared with everyone "The Production and Application of Microbial Fermented Feed", detailing the key points and operability of industrialized production of fermented feed.

    The most distinctive feature of the previous Tianmu Lake Forum is the popular group roundtable forum, which aims to "share and benefit everyone". Through exchanging experiences, difficulties, and technological innovations in the production process, the final "New Feed Generation" award-winning enterprises and individuals are selected through selection. This round table forum received a total of 110 valuable suggestions and selected first, second, and third prizes, as well as awards for excellent groups and individuals.

Visit the National Grain Engineering and Feed Machinery 

Production Workshop of Zhengchang Group

    Finally, the attending representatives had the opportunity to visit Jiangsu Guoliang Storage Engineering and Zhengchang Grain Machinery Workshop, and learned about the 98 year development history of Zhengchang, a large machinery manufacturing group that is about to enter a century old enterprise, and the updates and upgrades of generation after generation of pelletizers. Zhengchang Group produced the first pelletizer in the country with a maximum production capacity of 75T/H, as well as various mold processing and production workshops. Here, we also saw Zhengchang's unique equipment for producing milk pig feed, which brought us the best technology in the feed industry.

    Through the reports of various experts and the roundtable group forum, everyone learned from each other, shared their experiences, and better interpreted the conference purpose and spirit of the Tianmu Lake Forum of "wisdom gathering, wisdom seeing, intelligence, and intelligence transformation".
